McSteamy is getting McSober.

Just a few weeks after word leaked that Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart were expecting their second child (and probably thanks in large part to that joyous news), the Grey's Anatomy star has checked himself into rehab.

So, what's his demon of choice?

Pain medication, which Dane apparently became hooked on after getting prescribed the meds to treat a sports injury.

Though word only just broke of his treatment plan, Dane checked himself into a 30-day stint last month (reportedly at Los Angeles' Hills Treatment Center) as a preventive measure and is now nearing the end of his time in the program.

In a statement, his spokesperson said that the 38-year-old "voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus.

"He reports back to work next week. Business as usual."

Meanwhile, production on the new (and definitely not final) season of Grey's Anatomy has already started back up, and an ABC rep told E! News that Dane has already logged his first day on set (which means someone, somewhere got a crossed wire, but the message remains the same).

"We started shooting season eight just this past Friday and he's already worked," the rep said.

As for Gayheart, there's still no official word from the stars on when she is due. Get better, Eric!
