Yes, the King's Speech star is an accomplished actress, but she's a regular on worst dressed lists and most famously wore two different colored shoes at this year's Golden Globes.
In short, it's a genius move that few would have expected. Much like Jacobs' former spokesmodel choices, Sofia Coppola, Victoria Beckham and Dakota Fanning.
Unless, of course, you were paying attention to Bonham Carter's wardrobe credits at the SAG Awards, which some bloggers are now saying was a foreshadowing of this quirky fashion pairing.
