We've watched her grow up right before our eyes, so, naturally, we can't help but feel a little sense of pride ourselves at seeing Dakota Fanning graduate from high school.

Yep, the kid who initially made her way into our hearts playing Sean Penn's adorable daughter in 2001's I Am Sam and, most recently, gave us another reason to love those Twilight flicks, donned her cap and gown on Monday to join her fellow classmates for a ceremony at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

From being crowned both homecoming princess and homecoming queen to now receiving her diploma, the 17-year-old Breaking Dawn actress is definitely reminding us that, despite all the Hollywood movie star stuff, she's still your typical teen.
