Yesterday, Team Bristol Palin swore up and down she didn't get any nip/tucks done and attributed her new look to weight loss and a genius makeup artist.

Today, Palin's changing her story just as fast as she changed her face.

She has come clean and cops to getting work done, but it's not what you think...

The 20-year-old admits to Us Weekly that she did get some work done to her jaw. Well, we could have told you that. In fact, we did. After we saw the dramatic difference to her mug, we had a top plastic surgeon tell us exactly that

Now Palin's admitting the same, but there's a catch.

"I had corrective jaw surgery," she tells the magazine, saying she went under the knife back in December 2010, shortly after her Dancing With the Stars exit.

"Yes, it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons...so my jaw and teeth could properly realign. I don't obsess over my face," she insists.

Everyone else does that for her.

In any case, Palin says she's happy with her new face.

"I am absolutely thrilled with the results," she says. "I look older, more mature, and don't have as much of a chubby little baby face!"

Last week, when she debuted her sleeker jawline, plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Glatt told us the lower third of her face looked liked "two different people."

"She had a double chin before and that's gone now. It looks to me like she's had extensive liposuction throughout her neck, including under her chin, which has clearly been liposuctioned, it's obvious to me," Glatt had explained.

These days we call that "corrective jaw surgery." Potato potahto.
