LeAnn Rimes' trash is one Twitter follower's treasure.

The singer, in the middle of a massive closet reorganization Wednesday, made one down-on-her-luck fan's day while tweeting about her huge collection of shoes and handbags.

Peggy Joyce, an unemployed mother, tweeted the spring-cleaning songbird requesting help in the form of some of her fabulous throwaways.

Rimes was obviously in a generous mood...

The follower, pegjoyce, caught Rimes' series of tweets saying: "3 SOLID hrs of closet organization. Ok, so the ladies asked for the shoes.....they're everywhere. Even on the back of the door...all organized though! The shelves are 3 rows deep under the bags! Everyone has a vice...mine are shoes and handbags:)"

"Anything U want to donate to me?" tweeted Joyce. "From OH and lost job and have a 16 month old.  Bad year...just wondering if U have clothes or accessories u don't want? Only one income coming in and extra money goes to son."

Rimes immediately replied to Joyce to "DM [direct message] me your address and sizes...if they match I'll send you some things."

The country star even paid the shipping on the packages.

Joyce tweeted a thanks at Rimes, writing about her son and attaching a picture of him for the singer to see: "My lil guy Connor...he's 16 months now...he thanks you too! So sweet of you!!"

And afterward Rimes told her the stuff was being shipped: "It will be on it's way soon. I have a few pair of flip flops for the summer and tennis shoes in your size...hope it helps."

Rimes is a big presence on Twitter, in the past using the site to fire back at the naysayers who claim her relationship with Eddie Cibrian began as an affair and to discuss her ever shrinking size, which has come under much scrutiny these days.

It's nice to see Rimes' new positive spin on Twitter to good use after doing defense and taking a short break last year, when she claimed it was "unhealthy" for her to continue reading the negative comments from people who's opinions had "no bearing" on her life.

She had also used the site to call a truce with Cibrian's ex last month, saying she and Brandi Glanville would "like all negativity to cease."
