Has the Mouse House been invaded by the Blue Meanies?
That might be what Robert Zemeckis is thinking right about now after learning that the Walt Disney Co. has scuttled the producer's planned remake of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine.
The project, which had already been experiencing a few leaks due to budget issues, was formally sunk after the new Zemeckis-produced Mars Needs Moms barely got off the launch pad last weekend, per The Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to incorporating music from the Fab Four, the film was also going to utilize the motion-capture technology that Zemeckis has used in films like Beowulf, A Christmas Carol and Mars Needs Moms.
Time will tell if he'll be able to locate another port for this picture.
