Lindsay Lohan: "I Don't Want to Be Known for That Stuff Anymore"

Lindsay Lohan says she's ready to put her best foot forward.

"There's always bumps that we have in the road, and as long as I'm focusing on the one thing that I know I need to put first in my life—my recovering steps—I'm doing good and that's most important for me," she told Extra, her first comments on the state of her life since she got out of rehab (that haven't come via Twitter, that is).

So what did she have to say about the latest "bump"?

Alas, Lohan couldn't really say anything about the very real possibility that she's going to serve more jail time in light of charges she stole a necklace. Pending legal case, you know.

But she did admit that a comeback isn't going to come easy.

"I miss being on set, I really do miss it," Lohan said. "I know there's going to be a lot of steps that I have to have to go through to prove myself again and get the trust from the people I respect to work with, but I'm willing to do what I have to do to get there...Because that's my passion."

It's been quite a while since she was known more for her acting than her antics, however.

"Personal instances in my life have gotten in my way, but I don't want that to be what I'm known for anymore, the tabloid stuff," Lohan said. "That's not important to me. I want my attention to come through my films, for the work that I'm doing, not if I'm going to the hair salon."

She says she's taking it "one day at a time."
