Maybe she just wanted to show Ellen DeGeneres some new dance moves?

OK, so the Beverly Hills Police Department doesn't quite know why she did it, but a woman remains in cop custody after she was found prowling around the home that the talk show host shares with Portia de Rossi. While we don't know her motive, we do know her name.

The woman is 49-year-old Karen Sjoden, and she was caught at Chez DeGeneres last Thursday morning.

"She was placed under private person's arrest and was transported and booked at BHPD for trespassing and prowling," says the spokesman, who also provided further details of what transpired.

"At approximately 5 a.m., Ms. DeGeneres' security personnel observed a female adult entering the rear yard of her property. A short time later, the BHPD arrived at the residence and located the subject hiding in the rear patio area."

Sjoden has been jailed on $5,000 bail, but prosecutors were asking that the amount  be set at $250,000. She is due to be arraigned Monday afternoon.

A rep for DeGeneres has also issued a statement regarding the incident.

"The property is protected by a 24-hour security team that detected and detained the intruder until she was turned over to the custody of Beverly Hills police officers, who arrested her," reads the statement. "The intruder never entered the actual residence, and did not make any contact with either Ellen or Portia. Ellen and Portia appreciate the fast and effective response of BHPD officers."

In other words, don't mess with Ellen.
