First Look! Captain America Is Ready for Anything

Marvel studios has revealed this glimpse of Chris Evan in full red, white 'n' blue Captain garb

Beware, evildoers of the 1940s. Captain America is all suited up and ready to take you down!

Marvel has released this first official look at Chris Evans completely decked out in the Captain's full red, white 'n' blue uniform.

He looks like he's ready for...

...anything with all that padding—the Axis powers, evil henchmen, bears.

And judging from those scrapes on that iconic shield of his, it looks like our hero has already hashed things out over on the battlefield a bit.

We like the vintage look the costume designers are going for here. It isn't easy to take a widely known superhero outfit and create a look that won't elicit chuckles. (Oh, hey, Green Lantern. What's up?)

Only thing we aren't too sure about is those Super Soldiers. Seems like that look is what happens when you give a Hazmat suit some steroids. Just sayin'.
