Despite his decision to enter rehab after admitting to Dr. Phil that his battle with drugs and alcohol is indeed ongoing, an announcing gig offer made recently to the man with the golden voice by the Cleveland Cavaliers remains standing.
But the team is certainly in no rush for an answer.
"The Cavaliers, Quicken Loans and our entire family of companies wish Ted Williams and his family the best as they continue their unique journey," Tad Carper, spokesman for the Cavaliers/Quicken Loans Arena, tells E! News in an exclusive statement.
"We hope they have many great days ahead of them together, but understand they also have some very important issues they must address," adds Carper. "When Ted is healthy and has successfully worked through the critical personal challenges he faces, and should he want, we will be there to discuss his work interests and help him create a path for future professional success."
Meanwhile, a rep for Williams has said the viral video sensation's plan right now is to "decompress, rest and get the professional help that he needs."
As a result, WeWantTedWilliams.com, a comment board the NBA team had launched last week encouraging Williams to take the initial job offer is in the process of being taken down, according to Carper.
