Kellie Pickler never met a glitzy, over-the-top dress she didn't like.

But surprisingly, the country singer and American Idol alum kept her style simple for her hush-hush New Year's Day wedding to songwriter Kyle Jacobs in Antigua.

The blushing bride wore an ivory duchess satin strapless dress by Badgley Mischka (yes, the same fashion house for which celebuspawn Rumer Willis is modeling). The design has a removable tulle ball gown skirt with crystal beads at the train.

"We have been huge fans of Kellie's ever since American Idol," James Mischka, one half of the design team, gushed. "She has such a pure, kind spirit and we were thrilled when she asked us to design her wedding gown."

So why'd the glamour-loving star decide on this understated piece?

"When two people get married, it's not about the glamour," Kellie told People. "It's about the bride and groom and God."

Aw, now that's just sweet.

Gotta say, we do love the simple elegance of the dress—it's classic, timeless, and most important, keeps the focus on Kellie's cute mug.

Hey, Kel, how about sticking to that mantra on the red carpet sometime?
