It's that time of year again, folks: let the endless speculation over the new Dancing With the Stars cast begin!

We're happy to say that the rumor mill is kicking off in style, as our own Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett has become the latest name to surface—a source tells E! News that the onetime Girl Next Door is in talks with producers to join the show.

So just how close is she to signing?

Well, a casting insider tells us that Kendra was approached by ABC and recently sat down for a meeting with the network execs.

"Her personality, combined with her ability to dance, is appealing," the source says.

According to carltonjordan.com, Kendra met with network bigwigs as recently as Wednesday.

A deal has not yet been signed, and Kendra's rep has declined to comment, but it's not as if the move would be totally unprecedented.

Fellow former Playboy Mansion housemate Holly Madison filled out her skimpy costumes just fine while competing on the show back in 2009, and E!'s own Kim Kardashian made a go of it back in 2008.

Come to think of it, maybe ABC should start hitting us up with a finder's fee for all this talent scouting.

As for Wilkinson-Baskett, should she end up on the show this year, she might have to do a little backtracking first. Less than a year ago, while on the Today show, she didn't mince her words about the reality competition.

"I just told my publicist, if I were asked to go on Dancing With the Stars, I don't think I'd do it," she said at the time. "I would definitely say no to it, because I am that mom that wants to be there every step. I don't want to spend three months away from my baby. I just couldn't do it."

Hmm…what a difference 10 months makes?

As for the network, ABC's official line has always been that they don't comment on casting rumors (which is the stance they took last month after reportedly getting turned down by Lindsay Lohan), so we'll just have to wait until they make their formal announcement of the new recruits.

The reveal typically comes about a month or so before the new season kicks off. Though ABC has yet to set a firm premiere date, the latest installment will dance its way back onto our screens in March.
