Peter Fonda didn't have an easy ride today.

The actor played the role of Good Samaritan in Los Angeles this afternoon after he spotted what turned out to be a dead body in a parked car on Sunset Boulevard and immediately called 911.

Police are now investigating the man's death and have not released his name to the public.

Sgt. Carlton Cook at the West L.A. Community Police Station confirmed that Fonda was the one who made the call at around 2 p.m., adding that the former Oscar nominee—son of Henry, brother of Jane and father of Bridget—is most definitely not a suspect.

Per TMZ, Fonda had been driving when he spotted a man slumped over in a car, prompting him to pull over to get a closer look at the situation.
