When the first line of the first official single from Michael Jackson's first (of many, we're guessing) posthumous albums is, "This life don't last forever," you don't exactly steel yourself for the most uplifting of tunes.

But that, more or less, is what "Hold My Hand," the first posthumous music video from the slowly opening MJ vault, provides. The video for Jackson's duet with Akon (which, it must be said, is rather heavy on the Akon), was released today, and basically—if you like Michael, you'll like it. If you don't, you won't.

Because, simply put: it's classic Jackson.

For as shameless as the endeavor may be—stringing together clips of Michael, children, multicultural happiness and projecting Jackson's infamous profile on rather large buildings—it's no more shameless than actually releasing the album in the first place. Michael is simply becoming a posthumous powerhouse along the lines of Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix and many more stars who died too soon (but left enough material behind for their estates to release).

Either way, there's gonna be plenty more where this came from in the months (and years) to come.
