H is for hosting, and that's good enough for Cookie Monster!
In a bid to be the next Betty White perhaps, the furry blue Sesame Street star with the messy eating habits has started a grass roots campaign to score himself a hosting gig on Saturday Night Live.
And based on what we saw in Cookie's audition video, combined with the inconsistent-at-best state of affairs on SNL...we're sold.
Among his desirable attributes: His felt-lined mouth covers the lens when he shouts, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Niiiiiight!" making for a very dramatic opening; Macarooner is way funnier than MacGruber; and the cookie-clad Monster Gaga makes for a fine musical guest.
Just get Burt and Ernie on board for a cameo and break out the Toll House!
