After running from The Hills, Lauren Conrad has decided to give reality TV another spin.

After years of bad roommates, turncoat friends and failed romances, Lohan will return next month with another series—this time based on her career as a fashion designer.

Conrad says she'll be leaving love out of this series and that boyfriend, actor Kyle Howard, will not be appearing on the new show.

"I've always been open to doing reality again," she told Ryan Seacrest this morning. "Just under certain circumstances. As long as you have a separation. You have your personal life and work life. It would follow my career, set in L.A."

Asked if Kyle would be part of the new series, Conrad responded, "Kyle is not in it."

The official announcement for the show, set to air on MTV, will be made next week. It begins airing in mid-October.

It comes as a surprise to fans of The Hills, who watched the blonde morph from high school sweeetheart to L.A. mogul, with her own clothing line, books and modeling gigs. When she ditched The Hills, it seemed she had soured on reality TV, and claimed she was "done."

"I have no plans to come back," she told E! News at the time. "I really liked how I got to leave the show. I felt like it was on a positive note and I feel like they wrapped up my storyline."

Conrad says her now show will be something "very, very different" from The Hills, adding that she was "hesitant" when she learned how the show was supposed to end.

"I shot an alternate ending for the last episode that never aired," she explained. "The producer called me and asked me to do it. I was a little hesitant, but he said 'I think it would mean a lot to fans of the show,' so I shot a 30-second clip with Brody [Jenner], but said the soundstage ending sounded cooler. They were kind of going for the one who gets the biggest reaction."
