Stop the presses! Here's a train wreck with a happy ending.

Erstwhile Victoria's Secret Angel Stephanie Seymour and her media mogul hubby, Peter Brant, have reconciled, putting the kibosh on what was expected to be highly contentious—and undoubtedly embarassing—divorce proceedings set to start today in a Connecticut court.

"The parties have withdrawn their divorce action and are reconciling. They ask their privacy be respected," Seymour and Brant said in a joint statement.

Instead of duking it out, the 41-year-old beauty and the 63-year-old businessman/movie producer walked into Middletown Superior Court and informed Judge Lydia Munro that they were going to stay married and work things out.

Given Brant had a $500 million fortune at stake and the parties did not sign a prenup, we'd say the reconciliation is money well saved.

Seymour and Brant tied the knot in 1995, not long after she ended an abusive relationship with Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose—a coupling that resulted in each suing the other for assault.

The former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and Brant have three kids, now 16, 14 and 5. They also own several posh homes, an exquisite art collection and led a seemingly wonderful life—that is, until the tycoon accused her of cheating, abusing drugs and alcohol and a being shopaholic.

Seymour subsequently filed for divorce, claiming Brant was an intimidating, controlling husband who once ordered a security guard to physically keep her out of the home they shared and tried to turn their children against her.

You know, just the usual things couples argue about...
