Ken Starr is going to prison for bilking big bucks out of the Hollywood stars he used to represent

UPDATE: Starr was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison and ordered to forfeit $29 million. The judge slapped him with less than the 10 years requested by the prosecution because, she said, "None of the victims were left financially destitute as they have been in other cases."

This money man to the stars will be logging time behind bars.

Kenneth Starr today pleaded guilty to swindling such celebs as Al Pacino, Uma Thurman, Ron Howard, Martin Scorsese, Candice Bergen and the seriously screwed-over Wesley Snipes in a $60 million Ponzi scheme.

Appearing in Manhattan federal court, the 66-year-old Starr (not to be confused with the prosecutor who hounded former President Bill Clinton) copped to charges of wire fraud, investment advisor fraud and money laundering as part of an agreement with prosecutors that will likely see him receive a 10- to 12-year prison sentence.

The disgraced former accountant will also be required to pay back upward of $50 million in restitution to his victims, though whether that's even possible is an open question.

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 15.

Snipes, who is facing a federal prison sentence, has argued for a new trial,  due in part to the government's failure to disclose details of criminal charges lodged against Starr, who was a key witness in the Blade star's case.
