Paris Hilton certainly knows how to make friends and influence people, but are her hard-partying ways keeping her from making a lasting connection with a gal-pal?
"I'm a nice girl so I just kinda, like, had to sever myself from the whole...It just wasn't my style," Brittany Flickinger, winner of the first season of Paris Hilton's My New BFF (Best Friends For a Little While), said in an exclusive interview with E! News.
So what, exactly, wasn't Flickinger's style?
"We didn't really hang out until after the show, but after was pretty, pretty wild," the 22-year-old aspiring singer said, calling her former bestie "kind of out of control."
"The way Paris acts is really out there and always the center of attention," Flickinger continued, adding that the celebutante "always takes it too far, every time we go out."
But while Paris "likes to drink," Flickinger says, she never saw Hilton buy any drugs and, ahem, she never saw any drugs in Hilton's purse.
Flickinger says that she just couldn't handle Paris' scene.
"I was worried, you know, like I don't want to see her die or go downhill or, like, get caught with the wrong people," she says. "I mean, I think she just needs real friends. I don't know if she needs professional help, but, I mean, she needs somebody—other than [sister Nicky Hilton]—that cares about her for real."
Paris, of course, said following her "breakup" with Brittany last year that the reality show winner was the reason they were no longer together.
"My BFF and I are no longer BFFs. [Brittany] has become my ex-BFF," Hilton said. "She was really hungry for fame and fortune...like a hungry tiger!"
"I loved her and I trusted her, but sometimes people get too caught up and they change," she said.
