Last weekend they were behind bars, but Paris Hilton and Cy Waits spent this Labor Day holiday on the beach.
The couple have ditched L.A. for Hawaii, where Cy rented a private mansion in Maui for the two of them.
Although sources say Paris had offers to host Labor Day parties in Vegas, NYC and Miami, the heiress opted for a quiet getaway instead, where she's been trying some new activities...
"While they've been in Maui, they've been surfing, scuba diving, zip-lining and horseback riding," a source tells me. "Cy is very into his health, working out and doing outdoor activities. Paris loves this new way of life."
She's also been cooking for her beau and snapped a photo with a fan while stocking up at a local grocery store.
She's been Tweeting up a storm during her vacay, sharing a photo of her scuba diving and another beachside shot with the caption "I Love Maui".
The vacationing twosome looked very happy despite their legal troubles as they frolicked in the surf together. "They looked like they were on their honeymoon and seemed so happy and in love," an eyewitness tells me.
The lovebirds are in Hawaii until Thursday, but Paris plans to continue to lie low once she returns to L.A. "She's not going to the VMAs or Fashion Week," a source tells me. "She's distancing herself from her old party friends and focusing on her career and her love life."
