Daddy Dearest is in the clear. All charges against Michael Lohan were dropped today for his tabloid-ready battle royale with former fiancée Kate Major.

Major also dropped a restraining order against Lohan she obtained after the July domestic dustup that ended their engagement.

And was does the former fun couple have to say about today's events?

"I am happy with the outcome in court today. I didn't want this case to go to trial," Major tells E! News. "I am happy to move forward in a positive direction and put this all behind me."

And Lohan, who was accused in a police complaint by Major of threatening to kill her, says he has no hard feelings.

"I wish Kate the best and sorry this ever happened," he tells E! News. "We have been through a lot together and I hope that we will remain friends. I plan on meeting/talking to her soon to resolve any outstanding issues."

With this case behind him, Michael can now focus on more important things—like meddling in Lindsay's life.
