Jesse James' sister is standing by him.

Julie James England tells E! News exclusively that the beleaguered star's revelation on Nightline about his dad physically abusing him as a child was "completely true."

"I saw it," she says. "I lived there with my dad, and he was very aggressive with Jesse and I. He did abuse Jesse."

This is not how their father remembers things, however.

Responding to Jesse's story about having his arm broken at age 7 by his father, Jesse's dad, Larry, told RadarOnline that his son hurt himself when he fell off a fence, which he was climbing to retrieve a ball from their neighbor's yard.

"Just to show off...he dove over the fence, landed on the ground, and broke his arm," Larry said, adding that he still feels guilty for making his son retrieve the ball in the first place.

"But I didn't break his arm. He did it by throwing a tantrum." He also denied having anything to do with the black eye Jesse had in a photograph of him as a boy that was shown during the Nightline interview last night, saying that was from a minibike accident.

His ex-wife, Janina, has also denied Jesse's version of events.

But Julie England tells E! News that Janina wasn't even married to their father at the time and, in her opinion, they're speaking out now to cash in on the headline-making opportunity.

"I think they are giving their stories to make money," says Julie. "Janina was married to my dad when we were teenagers. She doesn't know how angry my dad used to get with us. I don't know why she would speak out."

"My [birth] mom had to be my mother and my father," she says. "She would back us up. She would do anything for her kids."

They're both estranged from their dad, Julie says, and Larry has no relationship with either her or Jesse's kids.

Julie also tells E! News that her brother is a changed man since emerging from a 30-day rehab program, which Jesse sought out in part because of his rough childhood, according to what he told Nightline.

"He is breaking the mold from what he learned from my dad," Julie says. "He is owning up to the mistakes he made and is trying to move forward with his life. That's the best thing he could do for his kids."

Meanwhile, Larry tells Radar that he's hoping for a reconciliation at some point.

"I am so sorry for what has happened in his life. God knows I've made a lot of mistakes, unfortunately most of them has been with women," he said. "I kind of know where he is at right now. I am always there for him...with open arms."
