Bret Michaels' recovery process is operating at full speed.

The Celebrity Apprentice do-gooder confirmed Friday via Facebook that he plans to be back onstage May 28, barely five weeks after suffering a potentially devastating brain hemorrhage, at Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, Miss.

A rep for Michaels says that the sometimes Poison frontman, who was on a solo tour when he fell ill, has increased his rehabilitation sessions to twice a day, and he also hopes to be in fighting form for the live Apprentice finale in New York on May 23.

As does The Donald, of course.

"We really hope that Bret is well and able to join us at the finale as Apprentice has hit some of its highest ratings ever and I have much respect as he is a fighter and strong competitor," Donald Trump said in a statement.

Michaels' agent, Bryan Ahern, says that support for the rocker has really been something.

"We have been overwhelmed with well wishes and offers that continue to pour in for Bret," Ahern says. "And promoters have really stepped up to the plate to reschedule dates he missed. Which is a testament to Bret's great live performances and friendships he has built over the years."

The 47-year-old father of two is also planning to start touring with Lynyrd Skynyrd on June 10 in West Palm Beach, Fla.

But first up, an appearance on Oprah next Wednesday, May 19.

Michaels, who has diabetes and was already recovering from an emergency appendectomy, was hospitalized April 22 in Phoenix and spent a week in the ICU while neurologists tried to determine the source of the brain bleed.

When he was finally discharged from the hospital, the lead surgeon on Michaels' team called him "just one of those lucky people." And they never could pinpoint the source of the hemorrhage, though they ruled out a larger condition that could cause a relapse.
