Anne Heche is still on the hook, but it's a far less sharp hook than before.

About a month after telling the court she was in dire financial straits (for a Hollywood type), Heche has been ordered to cut a check for the lump sum of $275,000, plus $3,700 in monthly child support payments, to ex-husband Coley Laffoon.

The actress will also foot 75 percent of the bill for their 6-year-old son Homer's private school tuition, with Laffoon picking up the remainder, and pay for half of his "agreed-upon extracurricular activities."

The former spouses have been sharing hard-fought custody of Homer for the past year, although Heche had been spending large swathes of time in Vancouver filming her ABC comedy Men in Trees, which has since been canceled after two seasons.

She had been dishing out close to $15,000 per month for a year until last month, when a judge excused her from paying Laffoon for the month of July after she filed a declaration stating she was $364,000 in debt and had only $34,840.93 to her name at the time of the filing.

Heche filed for divorce from her videographer hubby Feb. 2, 2007, after about five and a half years of marriage. A nasty custody battle ensued, with both sides attesting to the other's unfitness as a parent.

A judge had shut the estranged duo up by last May, however, ordering them to "refrain from making derogatory remarks" in front of their son.
