Demi Moore Continues Her Hero Work, Saves Another Life Via Twitter

When people tweet suicidal threats, few come to the rescue quite like the Ghost actress and Nia Vardalos

Demi Moore and her secret weapon are saving lives one tweet at a time!

The actress is among those credited with preventing yet another suicide late last night, thanks to Twitter.

When a young man from Casselberry, Fla., just north of Orlando, wrote of his plans to hang himself, she responded immediately, "R U rlly asking 4 help?" The man proceeded to send several more messages to the actress.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office tells the Orlando Sentinel that it received two calls from the West Coast about the suicide threat. While Moore's reps have yet to react or confirm that she made one of those calls, one of them was most likely My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Nia Vardalos.

"Please call 1 800 SUICIDE . I'm on the phone with them right now. They are waiting to talk to you," Vardalos wrote to the man.

An hour later, she offered an update.

"Just spoke to FL police again, they're with [him] now. He is ok, it's not a hoax. Thank u all for sending love," she said. "I called suicide line, connected to FL police, I gave his name+city. They went to home, helped him."

Lt. Sonia Pisano told the Sentinel that deputies went to a home and escorted an uninjured juvenile male to the hospital. She was unable to provide further details.

Moore is credited with saving a woman's life in a similar fashion last April.
