Gary Coleman is said to be doing well after an unexpected trip to a Los Angeles-area hospital.

The 41-year-old former Diff'rent Strokes star was staying at the boutique Custom Hotel when he suddenly fell ill around 8 a.m. and an ambulance was called.

But Coleman's agent is assuring fans there's nothing to worry about.

"He seems to be doing fine. They've found nothing wrong with him so far," Robert Malcolm tells E! News. "They're just testing to make sure everything's OK."

Malcolm says the actor, who has had two kidney transplants, was hospitalized as a precaution and should be released after some routine dialysis.

As for reports that Coleman may have had a seizure, Malcolm says he isn't certain but that Coleman has never had one before.

But making things even worse is Coleman's potentially X-rated issue...

Malcolm said the erstwhile child star was in town for a meeting with producers of his upcoming movie Midgets vs. Mascots to discuss a troublesome scene.

"He was very upset to cancel this meeting...because there's a shot of a penis in the film," added the agent. "Supposedly it's his, and he's not happy with it."

Sounds like that trip to the E.R. could be the least of his problems.
