Almost...but not quite.

Legal eagle Glorida Allred appreciates that Joy Behar and The View ladies quickly issued an apology for joking about Rachel Uchitel coming off as a hooker in the midst of the Tiger Wood scandal.

"Uchitel she's a hooker," is what Behar said yesterday of the 34-year-old New York club manager, who has denied having an affair with the star golfer.

But though she acknowledges that today's episode of The View was pretaped "before a retraction and apology could be made," Allred thinks the mea culpa message would be better served on the air Monday, rather than by making the rounds via the Interent.

"We appreciate their prompt response and apology to Rachel," Allred said in a statement Friday. "The apology sends an important message to others who would dare to characterize her in that way. It is a significant step forward in this matter.

"However, we still think it is important that the apology to Rachel be broadcast on the air on Monday's show. Rachel values her reputation and we look forward to ABC's broadcasting their apology to all those who heard it on their show. Because the statement was made on The View, the apology must be broadcast on that show as well."

Your move, View.
