UPDATE: In response to various reports regarding the circumstances surrounding Tiger Woods' Friday morning car accident, Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol tells E! News, "There are no new changes or information. The investigation is currently ongoing and no further information will be released until the completion of the traffic crash investigation."

Tiger Woods has no problem driving when it comes to a golf course. Navigating his street...that's another story.

The 33-year-old master of the links is fine after a solo car accident outside his Windermere, Fla., home Friday morning.

The accident occurred as Woods pulled out of his driveway, struck a fire hydrant and then smashed his Cadillac Escalade into a tree, according to an incident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

In a fitting bit of ingenuity, the Nike-endorsed star's wife, Elin Nordegren, used a golf club to smash out the SUV's back window to get him out, Windermere Mayor Gary Bruhn told E! News.

When police arrived to the scene, Woods was lying in the street, in and out of consciousness, and bleeding from the mouth and nose, Bruhn said.

But, according to his publicist, Woods only suffered minor injuries.

The billion-dollar athlete, who was alone in the vehicle, was transported to the nearby Health Central Hospital, where he was "admitted, treated and released today in good condition," his rep said.

Authorities say alcohol was not involved and no charges have been filed.
