John Mayer may be the serial dater Twitter king artist you love to hate, but you also apparently love to buy.

As if his ego needed another boost, Mayer's Battle Studies has debuted atop the Billboard album chart, selling a solid 286,000 copies—none of which, we're guessing, were purchased by people named Jennifer, Minka or Jessica.

"Battle Studies is officially the number 1 album in the US!" a surprisingly humble Mayer tweeted. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! What a way to spend Thanksgiving."

And most of the days after it. For the Mayer-weary, now may be a good time to turn off your televisions, as he has only just begun the fight to saturate your screens.

In the coming weeks, Mayer will be appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Jay Leno Show, Larry King Live and Jimmy Kimmel Live—noticeably absent from the promo tour is his usual Thanksgiving Day stop on the Late Show With David Letterman, where he has performed for the past few years. This year, however, Dave has resorted to a rerun on Turkey Day, and Mayer got his guest stint in early, appearing on the show last week.

Not content to leave his domination strictly U.S.-based, Mayer's world tour will kick off Feb. 4 in Sunrise, Fla.

As for other big chart news, Twi-hards will be pleased to know that their collective buying power has paid off. The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack has been certified platinum after selling more than 1 million copies.

If only John Mayer could find a nice girl to settle down with. Any volunteers?
