Teresa Giudice's custom-built home may go into foreclosure

When you show off, you'd better be prepared to put your money where your mouth is.

Teresa Giudice of Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey is learning this the hard way.

She and her husband, Joe, may be in some deep financial doo-doo with the mortgage lender on their home. The reality stars owe so much money on their newly built home they could go into foreclosure very soon.

In fact, he mortgage company lodged a foreclosure complaint in New Jersey Superior Court on Aug. 7.

The Jersey girl insisted on building the home from the ground up because she felt buying a pre-owned home was unclean. She very openly paid cash for all the fine fixtures—including marble floors, gold trimmings and wrought-iron railings on a dramatic staircase—in the 12,000-square-foot home.

She was also filmed taking her three young daughters on shopping sprees, spending thousands of dollars. She welcomed a fourth daughter last month.

The reality maven was unable to be reached for comment, while Bravo stated that they "cannot comment on the personal lives of our talent."

She isn't the first Housewife to have difficulty holding onto her house. Lynne Curtin from the Orange County edition was evicted from her home, while Sheree Whitfield and Lisa Wu-Hartwell from Atlanta were forced to tighten their belts in order to continue to lock their doors.
