Last time we checked in on Mayer, he was being linked to blond dumbshells Jessica Simpson and Kristin Cavallari. We concluded that lovely item with J.M.'s pal claiming John wanted nothing to do with either babe.
Uh, well it's been like three weeks since then, so obviously someone must be keeping John's bed sheets warm.
Who do we have up this time but...Jen Aniston? And Cavallari...again?
Oh boy, here we go:
According to OK! magazine, John is so not over ex-womenfriend Aniston.
The tab says that John desperately wants Jen back, sending her "flirty texts, phone calls, and romantic requests."
Gross. So is desperate Jen falling for it? Probably not since it's so not true, we're assured by Mayer buds.
"Jen and John? That's just not happening again. Ever," insists a close pal to the singer. Supposedly there's no public appearance in the world that would reunite these two.
Jeez, what happened at the end of their relaysh? That's for a whole other time, darlings.
As for Kristin—she told Ryan Seacrest that John asked her out but she declined, saying she "didn't need to be a notch on his belt."
First off, we're just throwing this out there: Kristin is kinda slutty. Maybe even more so than Lauren Conrad, but that's not fair to judge since L.C. has settled down now. If Mayer asked her out, she definitely would have gone. Or maybe they just didn't go out-out anywhere?
Still, our Mayer chum sticks by the story that nothing went down between Kristin and John.
"Maybe he asked her out at some point—who knows. But he would hardly be upset about someone from The Hills turning him down. [John] is single and is more focused on his music right now than anything."
A single Mayer not on the prowl? What is L.A. coming to?!
