Kelis is looking for a large chunk of change from estranged hubby Nas to keep their baby in diamond-studded diapers.

The "Milkshake" mama-to-be has filed court papers demanding the rapper pay her $20,000 a month to cover expenses for their son, who is due next month, and help with her cash-flow problem.

"[Her] survival is based on Nas's will," her lawyers say in court documents.

Kelis, 29, claims she needs the money because she hasn't made a dime in over a year from performing, her bread and butter, and has been relying on her MIA hip-hop hubby to underwrite her $80,000-a-month lifestyle.

The R&B songbird says she has only been making about $21,616 a month since November and can barely cover such monthly expenses as a $14,861 mortgage and maintenance on homes in Los Angeles and New York; $15,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations; and $3,500 for baby bills, including nanny and support staff, supplies (strollers, cribs, diapers, etc.) and cold storage of the child's umbilical cord blood and stem cells in case of future ailments.

The filing notes that the two have separate bank accounts and that Nas has substantial income earned from touring as well as the sale of records and songs featured on the soundtracks of Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese films among others.

The twosome married Jan. 8, 2005, after a two-year engagement, but Kelis filed for divorce two months ago, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking spousal and child support and joint custody of their newborn.

No comment yet from Nas's camp.
