Hugh Jackman isn't a happy mutant right now.

The Aussie actor is lamenting the Internet leak of a rough cut of his would-be blockbuster, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a month before its May 1 release.

"It's a serious crime and there's no doubt it's very disappointing—I was heartbroken by it," Jackman told reporters at a press conference in Sydney to kick off a worldwide promotional tour for the prequel. "Obviously, people are seeing an unfinished film. It's like a Ferrari without a paint job."

The A-lister, however, praised those fans who have refused to view the bootleg (we're not looking at you, Roger Friedman). He also expressed hope that the perpetrator will be tracked down and brought to justice.

"The FBI are onto it, and they're taking it very, very seriously," Jackman said.

And if the feds don't succeed, maybe a certain razor-clawed, sideburned dude with a bad attitude will take the case.
