Nothing says you're officially a Hollywood couple like walking a red carpet together.

Ghost Whisperer costars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy did just that yesterday when they made their first public appearance as lovebirds at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

"I was excited to be her plus-one," Kennedy told me backstage. "I am Jennifer Love Hewitt's plus-one."

Kennedy also thanked his real-life leading lady for helping him get through his recent hospital stay for kidney stones. "I'm feeling very good," he said. "She nursed me back to health."

Hewitt added, "He's a tough cookie."

Taylor Swift said it was her idea to incorporate David Copperfield into her performance of "You're Not Sorry." "I knew I wanted to take it to the next level for this awards show," she told me. "So we reached out to David and he had this idea to make me appear out of nowhere, so I was ready to roll with it. It took a few rehearsals, so I've been in Vegas three times in the last two weeks."

Julianne Hough's hottie boyfriend and Dancing With the Stars partner, country singer Chuck Wicks, said no one knows it, but he's among the injured on DWTS, too. "I pulled my right butt cheek," he cracked. He also revealed it's unlikely he'll join any future DWTS tours like other past contestants have done. "I think I'm just going to go back to the country stage and just sing songs," he said. "That's what I'm good at."

Kellie Pickler returns to American Idol on Wednesday to perform her single "The Best Days of Your Life," but she'd like to use her voice in other ways, too. "I've always wanted to be a character on Family Guy, The Simpsons or King of the Hill," she cooed. "That would be so funny."
