Nadya Suleman has a new home, a new TV doctor BFF and a new timeline in which to take over the care of her eight bundles of joy. (Sadly for her and us, it's slightly longer than 15 minutes.)
"I just want them home," Octomom tells Dr. Phil in the second part of her second two-part interview with the straight-talking medico. "I want them home right now."
As it is, four of the octuplets are nearing checkout time from the Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center, but the hospital will only release the babies to Suleman in batches of two. After a couple days, in Dr. Phil's words, "just to make sure everything's clicking," two more will be sent to Casa Taxpayer Suleman.
"They're not medically fragile," the mother of 14, who insisted today that she is paying for the lease on her La Habra home herself despite earlier reports her father was pitching in, said. "They're doing extraordinary."
All aside from little Jonah, the only one of the eight offspring not to experience his syndicated talk-show debut as he remains in intensive care.
As previously announced, the Suleman brood will be receiving wraparound care courtesy of the Angels in Waiting organization, a deal that Dr. Phil helped finalize, albeit not for the benefit of the much-derided Octomom.
"I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to meet these babies and understand that this is really all about them," he told his audience. "They are the ones who really need our care and support."
