It's your daily "Jon & Kate Plus 8, plus whatever else is going on" update time. Are you sick of our plus jokes yet?

Today's update is a rather somber one because Kate Gosselin is sad. Not even her hot piece of silver-fox bodyguard can turn that frown upside down. So what's got the TLC reality star feeling so blue?

Media attention that is not specifically related to her hair. By the way, she really loves her hair, she tells EW : "It's my attitude! Everybody wants it...My hair stylist gets calls from all across the country."

But be warned: Not everyone is blessed with the ability to pull off such an awesome 'do. "I have very, very thick hair, so it's not going to work for everybody. I've seen people come through the book line with thin hair and it just won't work."

Obviously, living with the most enviable hair in the country isn't what's tough; rather it's all that stuff about the affairs.

Speaking at the Frauenthal Center in downtown Muskegon, Mich., the mom of twins and sextuplets touched on the current tabloid frenzy: "This is certainly not what I envisioned I was signing up for. When I see magazines in stores it's really difficult. It amazes me there is an industry that follows you around and writes stories about you.

"It destroys people's lives. I need you to know, don't believe what you read unless you hear it from that person," she continued.

Then she bragged about her most recent personal triumph: "This week I'm on the cover of four magazines. One is true, three are not." That one would be People, of course, where she gave actual quotes about the troubled state of her marriage under the blazoned headline "We Might Split Up."

So you see, Kate is a victim who had no idea that allowing television cameras inside her home to document her family for five seasons, writing a book about her personal life and talking to magazines about her marital struggles could have ever resulted in everyone getting all up in her private business.
