Total Divas' Trinity hosted a memorial on Friday evening in honor of those affected by June's mass shooting in Orlando.

The WWE star, along with a local LGBT center, held the vigil at Pulse nightclub where the shooting occurred.

"I am here in my hometown of Orlando, Flor. to show my respects to the victims lost at Pulse Nightclub and [present] a memorial in honor of those we lost and the loved ones of those here in the community who are coping and dealing with the tragedy," Trinity told E! News exclusively. "It's important for me to be here to spread the word and the message of how hate crimes are devastating to, not only our community, but to all of us worldwide. I want to use my platform and my voice to soften the heart of those who have hate in their hearts and spread love to everyone around the world."

Trinity has a long history with the nightclub and was personally affected by the shooting, so this tribute was very close to her heart.

She told E! News, "I have a personal connection with Orlando as I'm from here and Pulse Nightclub is one of my favorite spots to hang out at. I have a lot of friends there, loved ones who frequented the club, and numerous people who were there [the night of the tragedy]. Some who made it out and some who did not."

Trinity continued, "This definitely hit home for me, is very real for me and connected with me deep down in my soul. Some of those faces I will never see again; some of those laughs I will never hear again and the place that I loved and was able to be so free at I will never get to go to again. [The tragedy] took a lot from the people in this community who loved going there and, to them, was a place of refuge. Being at Pulse you always knew you wouldn't be judged. It wasn't just a place for the LGBT community- everyone went to Pulse. When you went there there was always a very welcoming vibe from everyone."

Trinity also revealed that before the shooting took place she recently brought her husband, WWE Superstar Jon "Jimmy Uso" Fatu, to Pulse and he "loved it."

"He didn't want to leave. It truly was a place for everyone. There was always such a family vibe at Pulse. You never had to worry about any violence or anyone judging you. It really is so sad that we lost so many loved ones in such a tragic way at a place that brought happiness to so many people," Trinity said.

During the candle vigil on Friday, a plaque was presented "that was made in memory" of those who lost their lives during the shooting.

"All 49 names of those we lost are on the plaque and will be a memorial that we will be able to have here in honor of them," Trinity said.

Before the memorial took place, Trinity posted on Twitter encouraging her follows to join her at the vigil.

"Join me tonight for a candlelight vigil 8-9pm at MIRACLE OF LOVE 711 Seminole Ave, Orlando FL 32804 #orlandostrong," she posted along with a picture of her in front of Pulse nightclub.

Earlier in the week, Trinity visited Pulse for the first time since the shooting.

"Yesterday I visited the actual site of Pulse Nightclub and that's when it fully hit me. Actually being there and feeling the sadness and seeing others there mourning definitely hit me hard," Trinity said. "I couldn't stop crying and needed to take a moment to pull myself together. All we can do now is stick together and be there for those who need it most right now. Hate crimes, terrorism and violence aren't going to end today or tomorrow, but I think the more we speak out about these issues and the more we band together it can make us stronger and more prepared in the future."
