George Lucas , Mellody Hobson

Donna Newman

This past weekend, just like the moment when Darth Vader decides to uncerimoniously toss Emperor Palpatine down that crazy endless chute in the emperial chamber, love won the day. George "Please, for the love of god, leave me alone and blame Disney from now on" Lucas married business woman Mellody Hobson in a ceremony at the Skywalker Ranch. It was a star-studded affair attended by film luminaries like Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, and Scrooge McDuck, who was actually just there to tour the grounds and decide where his new Star-Wars-only money vault will be constructed.

While many of us were surprised at the news that the wedding had occured (and we WERE NOT invited) it should come as no surprise that George decided to make some "enhancements" to the wedding photos in post. We got our hands on one and it is truly a special edition.

Lucas Wedding Special Edition

One change of note from the reception: The Ewok's "Yub Nub" was replaced with Roberta Flack's "First Time Ever I saw Your Face" as the couple's first dance song. And despite rumors, the event's DJ was not replaced by Hayden Christensen. It was him to begin with. That's his new gig.
