In the latest released set of teaser photos from The Royals, E!'s first scripted drama is proving to be more scandalous than ever!
The ten-episode season will feature the devious and detailed lives of a fictional Royal Family in modern-day London. Elizabeth Hurley will star as Queen Helena, who possesses her own set of motives and intentions while dealing with her three children—the beloved Prince Robert, the free-spirited Prince Liam (William Moseley), and the wild Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park).
Viewers will get to look forward to a love triangle that involves Prince Liam, who will be torn between Ophelia (Merritt Patterson)—the daughter of the Royal family's head of security, and his former flame—the sexy and snobbish socialite Gemma (Sophie Colquhoun).
"The beauty of this show is that we go behind closed doors," Hurley said in a recent interview with TODAY. "This is an extreme, sexy adventure into royalty. For me, this is like sex, drugs and rock 'n roll in Windsor Castle. You need to want to see drama and heightened stuff and a lot of glamour. If that's your bag, you might get lucky."
In addition, Cyrus (Jake Maskall) who is the brother of King Simon (Vincent Regan), has gone through life enjoying the benefits of royalty without the responsibility. A man with a loose moral code, he longs to fix the injustices that he suffered by being born second in line to the throne.
