Meet Whitney Cummings

Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, writer and producer. She writes, executive produces and stars in her autobiographical sitcom Whitney on NBC, which will return for a second season on November 14. Whitney also co-created and co-wrote, along with Michael Patrick King, the CBS comedy 2 Broke Girls starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs.

Her new E! series Love You, Mean It with Whitney Cummings, premiering November 28, will take on pop culture, celebrity news and topical stories. Whitney will be joined on the show by her sidekick, Julian McCullough.

In 2010, Whitney's hour long Comedy Central Stand Up Special, Money Shot, was nominated for an American Comedy Award. As a comedian, she appears regularly on Chelsea Lately and Comedy Central's Comedy Central Roasts.

Last year, Whitney was named one of Variety's "10 Scribes to Watch." In 2010, Ben Stiller presented Whitney with the "Comedian of the Year Award" at the Young Hollywood Awards. In 2009, she was honored as one of Entertainment Weekly's "Comedy Stars of Tomorrow" and was named one of Variety's "Top 10 Comics to Watch" in 2007.

Whitney graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Pennsylvania, after which she got her start starring as a series regular on MTV's Punk'd.
