Kim Kardashian West couldn't attend Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian's baby shower on Sunday, so she Facetimed the parents-to-be her well wishes from Paris.
Kim posted a Snapchat video of the friendly chat, not knowing that just hours later she would be bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint by masked intruders. Chyna and Rob's baby shower was still ongoing when news of Kim's horrific ordeal broke.
"Everyone at the baby shower had turned off their phones, but a few people were checking every so often," a source tells E! News. "One of the guests saw an alert about what had happened and told Rob."
The Rob & Chyna star was understandably "very concerned," says a source, adding that the father-to-be "started to make calls to his family to find out if everyone was OK."
Rob tried calling Kim and mom Kris Jenner, and then he "grabbed Chyna and they started to make some calls together," says a source. It's unclear which family member Rob was able to get a hold of first, but it was a huge relief for Rob and Chyna when they confirmed Kim was physically unharmed.
"They were both extremely shaken up and upset by everything, but once they discovered that Kim wasn't hurt they calmed down," a source tells E! News. "It was a terrifying moment for the two of then. They were so worried about Kim."
A rep for Kim told E! News that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was "badly shaken but physically unharmed." After filing a full police report to French authorities, the mother of two returned to the U.S. via private jet and reunited with husband Kanye West on Monday.
