This celebration comes on the heels of another anniversary, the 40th anniversary of Caitlyn's win at the 1976 Olympic Games! Caitlyn won the decathlon during the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games and now she's celebrating her win with Sports Illustrated.

On June 6, a 25-minute film about her Olympic journey will premiere online and on June 8, Caitlyn will appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated, with an accompanied story written by Sports Illustrated's Tim Layden.

"We are excited to bring a fresh perspective to one of the greatest athletic performances of all time," Paul Fichtenbaum, Sports Illustrated Group Editor, said in a statement. "Obviously, so much has transpired since the '76 Olympic Games. Thanks to Tim's access, this story is rich with layers, and we've got multidimensional content that fans will enjoy across any platform they choose."
