Blossom Brown is opening up about her life-changing experience getting to know Caitlyn Jenner!

After telling her story of discrimination on I Am Cait, Caitlyn and Ellen DeGeneres gifted Blossom with $20,000 to help her get into nursing school after Blossom was rejected multiple times for being trans.

"I still have shock waves all over my body. I just could not believe it. I had no idea. It was amazing," Blossom tells E! News exclusively of the big surprise. "It gave me so much hope again. That hope that I lost trying to find a school the first time, Cait gave that back to me. The money, I had no idea. That shocked me. But just the fact that Cait was willing to do that for me, that meant the world to me. That meant so much more to me than anything."

"I feel so grateful and just so blessed," Blossom added. "It's just been amazing. I can't thank Cait enough...or Ellen."

Blossom says Ellen has been her "No. 1 inspiration since the age of 10." "We chatted in the back room for a little bit," she said of meeting the comedian.

Since telling her story on I Am Cait, Blossom says she's gotten tons of offers for nursing school. "It is going so great. I am being bombarded by people. Like on Twitter, I've had so many people reach out to me, Facebook, on my fan page. People just inboxing me schools to look at and things like that. As I'm researching and looking at how some of their programs are catered to transgender people, it's just so amazing," she says.

She went on, "I've definitely been looking and searching. I'm trying to keep an open mind on where I look. I really would like either the Los Angeles area or D.C. area, I've visited those places a lot and I feel more comfortable in those areas. I've been getting a lot of places form the east coast an west coast."

Blossom has also inspired people all across the country. "I cannot tell you how many people have been inspired to go back to school, get their goals and dreams going," she says. "And other people who may not have liked the transgender community, I cannot tell you how many people have actually changed their hearts and have told me that. I had a straight black guy who was transphobic or whatever but he started watching the show, he was like, ‘Now I know what the transgender community goes through.' I was just like, ‘Wow.' Little things like that make a difference. This show is definitely making a big impact."

As for keeping up with Cait and their new friendship, Blossom gushed, "I told her I was so proud of her. She's grown and I see that growth in her and I just love her…She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. The media has their opinions, but people who know her have theirs. Caitlyn is one of the most generous, sweet people you were ever meet. She gives good advice, she talks about her children, she loves her family: they mean the world to her. She is amazing. She's so kind-hearted, words just can't even express. She's beautiful, humble."

"It feels good that our stories are getting out there period," she concluded.
