Naomi Campbell: Lion King Costume or Funky Lamp Shade?

Does the supermodel look more like she's about to dance through "Hakuna Matata" or accent your grandma's living room?

We always delight in a good fashion guessing game and Naomi Campbell's feathered frock is really giving us something to ponder.

The Face star stepped out at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards looking more like a costumed Broadway star than a glamorous woman. So what does the supermodel resemble? We're torn. On the one hand we feel like we saw a getup just like this Alexander McQueen design on stage during our class trip to The Lion King on Broadway circa 1999, but it's just as possible that our Mommom has a lighting...thing in her house made from the very same fabric.

If onstage animal is the answer, then the edgy Brit would have to be some kind of red-feathered bird or odd-colored duck. The wide skirt certainly fits that bill (duck pun intended), but her striped top with fringe accents feels much more like '70s-style furniture. Then again, where would the light shine through? Maybe the cropped middle?

Sadly it looks like this bold black and red number is just a wild outfit gone wrong. But if Naomi wants to repurpose it as a Halloween costume, we'd go lampshade vs. Lion King. Or she can kill two birds with one stone and say she's a lampshade inspired by Elvis's Graceland jungle room!
