Carrie Underwood is a genius. We were just trying to figure out what in the world we're going to do with our gorgeous wedding gown after the big day. Sell it? Too sad! Shorten it? Too expensive! But the country crooner just delivered us an easy solution. Slap some fabric on the skirt and call it a brand new dress!

Though, we might pick a fabric that makes it a little less obvious this was a wedding gown 15 minutes ago...

It's no surprise that designer Claire Pettibone is behind this flowy, floral frock. She's best known for gauzy, lace gowns worn by romance-loving brides. So did the base of the "Good Girl" singer's dress come from a leftover look in Claire's discarded wedding pile? Or is this a first attempt at breaking into red carpet wear?

We love the shape and the airy feel, but we're not so sure about that stark black against all the white. A blush or cloudy blue might be better, and a stronger match for the floral appliques. Then again, this is way better than getting zero use out of that major, major purchase.
