We will pretend not to notice that the sultry star may have spent some time in the Aussie sun, instead focusing on what Ms. Vergara must have done to brighten her complexion post-sun exposure. Though her skin is tan, it still manages to look even, smooth-textured, and is literally glowing.
Speaking of glowing…we love that Sofia dressed up her usual black liquid eyeliner with a shock of metallic bronze eye shadow. See? Bronze eye shadow isn't just for blue-eyed ladies! The sparkly bronze set Sofia's eyes afire.
Get the Look: There is some serious brightening going on with Sofia's skin! Start by cleansing with an exfoliator that will smooth and even out skin like L'Occitane Immortelle Brightening Exfoliator.
Then apply a serious brightening serum like Tatcha Deep Brightening Serum that will use active botanicals to give you luminosity.
Tip: active ingredients in serums and oils penetrate skin layers more effectively than creams, so make sure you always include a serum or oil into your skincare regimen (and always apply serums and oils before creams.)
For plump-looking skin, add some additional hydration with a brightening moisturizer like Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing and Brightening Cream. Then make sure to apply a primer before your foundation to ensure that you add a barrier between your skin and your makeup.
To get Sofia's sparkling bronzed eye shadow look, after prepping upper eye area with concealer or primer, cover the entire upper eye area with a matte ivory or flesh-colored powder eye shadow. Then, using a contour brush, apply a matte terracotta or warm brown eye shadow right above the creases.
Next, apply a sparkly bronze eye shadow like MAKE UP FOR EVER Diamond Shadow in Diamond Brown 312 in a thick line along the upper lash line.Blend eye shadow upwards to the area right below the crease.
Then using a small eye brush, create a v-shape with the outer corner of the crease and the eye, blending towards the outer corner of your eyebrows. Take an eyeliner brush and apply the bronze eye shadow to the lower lash line, connect at the outer corner and pull brush upwards. The shape of the eye shadow should resemble a pointed cat eye.
Line upper lash line with either a black liquid liner or gel liner. Complete this eye makeup look by applying two to three layers of your favorite volume-building mascara.
With this photo, Ms. Vergara certainly inspired major skin envy around the office. We're relieved in a way, since brighter skin is a lot more achievable than her killer curves. Now if there was only a product line that would help us get Sofia's body. Ah, we love to dream.
