Natalie Portman, Emmy Rossum

We're not sure why we've done this to ourselves. We're in love with both Natalie Portman and Emmy Rossum's dresses, and now we have to pit them against each other!

The tiny floral details are what caught our eye the minute we laid eyes on each of these looks. There's something both vintage and modern about the way the embellishments sit on the sheer fabric of these frockslike real little petals that just happened to drop in place. This is going to be a tough win to award...

First up is the Black Swan star in Christian Dior Couture. The classic shape is covered in a sheer black overlay and accented with yellow-and-orange blossom sequin appliqués. It's a vision of fall shades that compliments her new ombre hair so nicely.

But Emmy is not to be ignored in her Oscar de la Renta creation. Again, there's a black netted overlay, but this look features a black bodice and multicolored embroidered flowers throughout.

We were about to answer this debate with some "eeny, meeny" decision-making, but in the end, we think Natalie takes it fair and square on account of that perfect color palette. What's your say?
