Getty ImagesIf you ignore the fact that Allison Williams and Avril Lavigne are both wearing black-and-white, the two celebs have absolutely nothing in common.
One plays TV's most uptight 20-something and the other used to be a board-short rocking "Sk8er Girl." And yet here they both are, battling it out in equally chic creations. We love when fashion brings people together, so we can judge who looks better than the other!
First up is the Girls star in a vintage Geoffrey Beene design. We love the halter cut on her fit frame, but something about the checkered pattern makes this feel like a very formal jester costume. It's perfect for a haute couture Halloween fete, but otherwise we're not so sure.
The "Let Me Go" singer is in a more covered up top (which we don't love) but it has a fun peplum skirt (which we do). Yes, it's a tad tight all-over, but the black and white pattern is more modern than Allison's version.
Or maybe we just prefer Avril's attire because we're still shocked that she's not wearing jeans and a hoodie? Either way, the '90s icon takes it in our book. What's your say?
