Poor Rita Ora…  She had been showing off her beautiful new long hair extensions throughout Paris Fashion Week and her frenemies must have had enough of her stealing the spotlight. So for one of the chicest events at Paris Fashion Week, the Mademoiselle C Cocktail Party, her "friends" must have talked her into wearing her new tresses in mouse ear knots.  Not cool.

Then to complete the cartoon look, someone fetched a black bow headband from a Minnie Mouse costume and attached a lace veil and sent her on her merry way. She must have been looking around the party at celebrities like Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr looking amazing, schmoozing with fashion royalty like Karl Lagerfeld and Giuseppe Zanotti, and realized she just got punk'd.

At least her makeup was perfection (from what we could see of it). Her skin looked luminous, her brows bold, and all eyes went to that matte red statement lip.  By the way, the biggest trend we saw at Paris Fashion Week was the statement lip in red and fuchsia.

Beauty Bailout: Well, this is a no-brainer.  Rita needs to take off the costume headpiece, and release those silly knots. She could have either worn her hair down or swept it into a chic high chignon.  Basically almost any hairstyle would have looked better than this one. There, we said it.

Get the Look: The hair may have been bad Halloween but the makeup is definitely worth copying.  If you have oily or combination skin like Rita, you're going to want to start by using a bb cream that has full coverage and works to refine skin and minimize pores like Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream.

To get Rita's bold brows, fill in your brows with an eyebrow pencil like Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in small upward strokes (mimicking the size and direction your eyebrow hair grows). Then use the spindle on the other end to brush brows upward, which will blend the pencil, giving brows a more natural look.

To recreate Rita's fabulous matte red lip, you must start by exfoliating your lips with a toothbrush or sugar scrub, followed by applying a lip balm. Try doing this before you start your makeup to give the balm time to sink in.

Next, take a lip brush and swipe it across a bold matte red lipstick like Revlon Matte Lipstick in Really Red 06 and start applying it to your lips. In order to ensure your lipstick lasts all night, you really want to use the brush to work the lipstick into your lip (brushing back and forth).

While you're working in the lipstick, use the brush to outline your lips like you would with a lip pencil.  Tip: If your lipstick tends to bleed or feather, after this first lipstick application then go over the general outline of your lips with a matching red lip pencil.

Then, blot lips with a tissue. Finish by applying a second coat of the lipstick with the lip brush.  We assure you, follow those steps and that lipstick will still be on when you stumble in the door after a long night out.

We really hope Rita stops giving into peer pressure and in the future doesn't allow her friends to dress her like cartoon characters in mourning.  She's come so far—the new hair extensions really suit her and she's wearing gorgeous makeup.  And who knows? Maybe Karl Lagerfeld saw Rita's mouse ears at the party and felt inspired. Perhaps there will be a Disney theme at next fall's Chanel Collection?
