Don't get us wrong—we're lovers of the smoky eye. But wearing the same dramatic makeup over and over again is like eating chocolate for every meal—too much of a good thing.
The Resident Evil star looks like she used the "tight lining" technique on her peepers, which is an eye-lining method that is meant to make your lashes look like they start back further than your natural lash line. This makes your lashes look longer and fuller without looking like you're wearing too much makeup.
Milla kept the rest of her makeup classic yet minimal with defined arched brows and a sheer berry fruity shine. We also loved her super shiny retro bob, complete with a combed-over side part and flip at the ends. Bellisimo!
Get the Look: To mimic Milla's natural-looking eye makeup, start by covering your entire upper eye area with a matte ivory eyeshadow like MAKE Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster. Next, you will need a waterproof black gel eyeliner like Tarte EmphasEYES™ Waterproof Clay Shadow / Liner in Matte Black and either an angled or flat eyeliner brush (make sure it's thin enough to fit underneath your lash line).
With one finger below your brow bone, gently lift your eyelid to expose your upper water line. Then take your eyeliner brush, coated with eyeliner, and apply the eyeliner on your water line. If your eyes get dry, make sure you take breaks!
Follow with a couple coats of your favorite mascara to your upper lashes. Milla applied mascara to her bottom lashes as well, but keep in mind this can be tricky in the summertime. A couple blinks and you can end up looking like you put your makeup on in the dark after drinking tequila for 24 hours straight.
To get Milla's shiny sheer tinted lips, use a lip shine that drops a good amount of pigment but still leaves your lips looking just bitten. We love Fresh Sugar Passion Tinted Lip Treatment 15 which also has antioxidants, hydrators and sunscreen.
